Providing
ideas and support
The program is
now in its third year, and has supported almost 100 parties. Click

Assisting
with road closure
In order to get
approval to close your road for the party, you need to get the
approval of the majority of your street, and provide PPCG with a
rough map showing where you would like to have the road closed. The
cost of having the road closed is $50. Click here for road closure

Liability Insurance Coverage
The street
party organiser is responsible for the smooth running of the event
and should a neighbour attending the party incur an injury or loss
as a result of the way the party is organised or run, they could
take legal action against the organiser. By registering with
StreetLife as a volunteer for the Port Phillip Community Group, the
organiser will be covered by the Port Phillip Community Group
public liability insurance cover. Download PPCG's Party Registration
Form to be covered
by PPCG's insurance, and download the Police
check consent formwhich is
required for all PPCG volunteers.
Provision of
a gas BBQ
You can arrange
to have pick up a mobile BBQ which can be transported in a
hatchback vehicle from 200 Alma Road. Please ask the street party
coordinator about this service. PPCG takes a $50 refundable deposit
for the loan of the BBQ. |
