Willie Road Project

Willy Road Shed

482 Williamstown Road, Port Melbourne (affectionately known by its residents as Willie Road) is a 1060s walk-up housing estate of 24 bed sit apartments.

The project began in 2011 to support vulnerable tenancies at the Estate.  PPCG worked alongside tenants and partner community agencies to build a connection to place and community.  Over three years the community thrived with enhanced individual health outcomes, a strong sense of communal pride and the creation of a beautiful outdoor area with gardens and a multi-purpose and much used shelter.
