WHAT’S
INSIDE
Printed and distributed in 2005 the hard copy of One Step Off The
Street is looking a little battered and torn (pictured right). Now
it is time to bring out a new version; an internet version. One
Step Off The Street aims to provide a detailed guide to services
that are available in the City of Port Phillip. We will be updating
the site weekly to keep the guide as accurate as possible. Many of
the services are under pressure to provide more with less.
Brochures are often out of date and many service providers Internet
sites are not updated as much as they need to be.
We will be
working with Port Phillip Library Service and those services that
provide computers use for community members so that everyone can
access the site.
One step
has been designed so that front line community workers can print
off sections for people accessing services.
We have
not been able to provide all of the services offered in the area
yet. However, we will be expanding the guide over the coming weeks.
Local musicians will have an opportunity to have their music
promoted on the Site. We will also feature works from artists. If
you want to have a say you can E-mail us on the address
below.
We will be
bringing your more information and news over the coming weeks
including a section about substance abuse, mental health issues and
the new Australian Job Services initiative. We will also be adding
music.
We Need
Your Help
If
you find a mistake in the guide or would like to have something
added you can e-mail us. We welcome criticism. If you have issues
with a service provider we would like to hear from you. We will
publish selected correspondence.
