Our Neighbourhood Development Program convenes the Inner South Rooming House Network (ISRHN).

The network brings together a committed group of rooming house residents with community development, allied health, and housing professionals from 15 agencies within Melbourne’s Inner South.

The main purpose is to improve the quality of life for rooming house residents by advocating for greater attention and resources to be focussed on this particularly vulnerable and historically under-serviced section of society.

One of the primary means used by the RHN to raise awareness about rooming houses and the related issue of homelessness is through the Homelessness Memorial at Peanut Farm each June and the Homelessness Prevention Week in early August.
