LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!

Learn filming, editing and post production processes for aspiring filmmakers.

When: Fridays 10.00am – 1.00pm (3 hours).

Venue: Edwards Park, Port Melbourne.

Finding, writing, shooting, directing & producing a movie.

What You Will Learn:

  • Story selection and how to write a story.
  • Collaborative and individual project models.
  • YouTube – short film examples.
  • Shooting film.
  • Introduction to editing clips, including timing & audio edits.
  • Using copyrighted images and music.
  • Creating titles and credits.
  • Exporting projects in correct format.
  • Discussion/instruction on file types.
  • Uploading to YouTube.

This course is conducted in conjunction with

Computers at ARCH


Build digital technology skills using Microsoft Office products.

When: Mondays 10.00am – 12.00pm (2 hours).

Venue: Alma Road Community House, St Kilda East.

Lessons, help and advice in using:

  • Internet.
  • Email.
  • Online storage systems.
  • Social media.
  • Digital media.
  • Desktop publishing.
  • Job search.

Job search includes: how job search website works, creating accounts, writing resumes, cover letters, getting help from the web and scanning documents.

Art Attack


When: Mondays 1.00pm – 3.00pm (2 hours).

Venue: Alma Road Community House, St Kilda East.

Course includes:

  • Developing techniques in drawing: mosaics, painting, lino-cut, mixed media.
  • Creating your own art work.
  • Displaying your work.
  • Learning about the visual arts industry.

No prior art experience necessary.
