Parcels packed by volunteers
1000
worth of food delivered
$ 40000

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic saw a significant increase in the number of individuals and families contacting PPCG for support. As people struggled to navigate unemployment, housing insecurity and isolation from support networks, PPCG adapted the way we delivered much needed relief to those who needed it.

With support from the City of Port Phillip, PPCG launched the Share the Food program, providing food staples, toiletries and hygiene products to people facing financial hardship, and those isolating due to the virus, compromised immunity, age or disability. We pack food relief in accordance with family size, cooking facilities and dietary requirements and we work with many partner organisations to deliver food to people in  rooming houses and crisis accommodation.

To all of our amazing donors, supporters, and especially our volunteers, THANK YOU so much for your incredible hard work and generosity. We could not do this without you.

If you are a resident of the City of Port Phillip and you are experiencing food crisis, please phone us to speak to a support worker about how we can assist.

"Thank you for the hot meals and especially for the beautiful skin care products. I feel lovely. I’m going to take a hot bath and treat myself."
"I am very grateful for the help. I really felt overwhelmed, since April looking for a job every day without success and I already spent all my savings, this is the first great news since then, it is a great help for me."
