Food Security Coordinator

Food Security Coordinator oversees two flagship programs:

  1. Share the Food warehouse – this program coordinates food relief through donors and leverages volunteers to create food boxes for partner organisations to use within their programs.
  2. Social Meals – The key objectives of this program are to enhance the social well-being of rooming house residents through a shared nutritious meal, positive social interactions; to develop cooking skills, food knowledge and hygiene; and to provide pathways to education, skills and referrals to support services.

The role has overall responsibility for managing donor relationships, volunteers and warehouse logistics. This role is critical in informing PPCG’s food relief strategy going forward including setting up food pantries and collection points in community including in high rise accommodation settings.
